Multiple Implants at Diggers Rest, Caroline Springs, Hillside, Taylors Lake and Sydenham

Multiple implants are a dental solution for patients who are missing more than one tooth, either next to each other or in different places around your mouth. When teeth are missing, it can make you feel self-conscious to laugh or smile. Missing teeth can also make eating and talking more difficult and add to your everyday stress. Our team of dentists are Master Clinicians in Implantology and can help determine if you are a candidate for multiple implants.

Multiple implants are used to replace multiple missing teeth and their roots. This restorative dental solution takes advantage of implant technology that not only replaces the tooth root but can defer or prevent bone shrinkage that can cause other teeth to shift and change your facial structure.

Dental implants are tiny screws made of titanium that are surgically placed in the jawbone. They take advantage of the body’s natural healing process and through a process called osseointegration, your jawbone tissue will naturally build more tissue around the post to strengthen it and stabilise it into place. Once your jawbone and implant are healed, a dental crown will be secured onto the implant, which will act as your new tooth. If you have consecutive missing teeth, you may be a candidate for a dental bridge that is supported by multiple implants, which can be more cost-effective than a singe implant for each tooth.

More secure than dentures
A more permanent solution than traditional bridges

Eat and socialise with restorations that won’t slip or shift
Caring for them is almost like caring for your natural teeth
Improve your smile

Candidates for Multiple Implants

Candidates for multiple implants must have good oral health and bone that is strong enough to heal after surgery and support the implants. Our team of skilled dentists will do a full evaluation of your jawbone and teeth to ensure you are a candidate. This can lessen the risk of future problems. Some situations that cannot support implants include:
Z
Current gum diseases like gingivitis or periodontitis
Z
Deteriorated or soft jawbone
Z
Patients on certain medications that can interfere with the healing process
Some patients who have been previously turned down for dental implants may be candidates after dental treatment. For example, if you have gum disease, we can treat it. Once your oral health is restored, we can reevaluate to see if you can have multiple implants to replace any missing teeth. If your jawbone has already shrunk, we may be able to use bone grafting to build it up so you can get dental implants. The best way to know is to come in for a dental checkup and assessment and let our team of professionals determine if you are a candidate.
