What is an Immediate Implant at Diggers Rest Dental House?
Immediate implants are dental implants that can be placed into a tooth socket directly after the extraction of the tooth. This means if you know that you need a tooth or a few teeth removed, instead of waiting for the extraction to heal and then returning for multiple visits for a replacement, we can get right on your replacement the same day as the extraction. The implant will begin healing right away and our CEREC Same Day Crown can be placed on the implant right away, to protect it while it heals.

Candidates for Immediate Implants
Dental implants are a great solution to replace a missing tooth and its root. But they can also be used to support a dental bridge or implant-supported dentures. Immediate implants are an ideal solution for patients who have good oral health and dense jawbone tissue to support the implant.
If you have suffered bone loss, we may be able to strengthen the bone with a bone graft. If you have a gum infection, we may recommend treating that before dental implants. If your teeth need removing before we can treat infection, immediate implants may not be right for you.
