What Can I Eat After My Wisdom Teeth Removal?
Hi, Dr Jimmy here from Diggers Rest Dental House.
So, you’re getting your wisdom teeth removed, and now you’re probably thinking, “What can I actually eat now?” Well, let’s talk about it.
First things first, eating is really important to help you keep your energy up and support your healing. But right after the procedure, you’ll want to stick to soft, nutritious foods that won’t irritate your mouth. Think yogurt, mashed potatoes, bananas, smoothies, basically anything that’s gentle and easy to eat. Remember, you’ve got a fresh wound in there, so we don’t want anything too tough or crunchy just yet.
Soups are another great option. Whether they’re hot or cold, they’re super easy on the mouth and packed with nutrients. You might even want to have some family or friends drop off a few bowls for you while you recover!
The main thing, the most important thing to remember, is to avoid anything that could scratch or irritate the area, because that could slow down your healing or even cause some bleeding. Then, after about a week, you can start easing back into your regular diet as your mouth heals up. But if you’re ever unsure, just shoot us your question, and we’ll be happy to answer for you.
So, if you’re actually thinking about getting your wisdom teeth removed and want to chat with us about it, just send us a DM or call us on 1800GENTLE to book your consultation. We’ve got great payment plans available, and we’re always here to help!
